In general, I have cleaned the item very lightly for any bulk surface dust, dirt, etc. I have NOT deep cleaned it and will not be doing so here. I am often dealing with antique/vintage/delicate items and I’m very reluctant (aka DON’T) do any deep cleaning for fear of affecting, damaging, removing paint/patina, etc from the item.
