The substrate provides a stable pH value and the absorbent properties of the mix allow it to act as a reservoir to store water and nutrients, releasing them back to the plants as needed. Lechuza Pon does not compact or clump and its mineral base deters fungi and a large number of soil born pests such as fungus gnats. Pon is ideal for allergy sufferers.
