VIN Number Note: eBay, as well as most VIN number lookup sites, may not have this vehicle VIN on file. However, you can verify this VIN by checking a vintage specialty site like Hagerty's VIN lookup which has no problem pulling up the vehicle info. Odometer Note: Miles on the engine and transmission currently around 350. Miles on the odometer is currently around 98,000. Read further vehicle description for details. Ebay has a fairly restrictive video policy so I've uploaded three different videos of this vehicle on the video web platform Odysee. Go there and search for "eBay Dodge D100" or do a tag search for "slantsixdodge" and they'll pop up. There's one video on the interstate (also uploaded here), one on a 35mph road, and one on a 55mph road. This was a vehicle I purchased with intent to do an engine/tranny rebuild and then to daily drive, however, life circumstances changed during the rebuild and I have since relocated and had to change to a larger pickup with heavier pulling capacity since an enclosed trailer now practically lives on my hitch. Hence, this vehicle has been living in a storage unit since completion because I don't have space for it or I'd keep it as my second vehicle. Because this was originally meant to be my daily driver, I didn't cut corners while freshening this vehicle. The parts that were required for safety or reliability were studied and if in any way questionable, they were rebuilt or replaced. This wasn't a cosmetic rebuild and so don't expect perfect tins or interior bits - I actually prefer some character in my vehicles so a little patina is welcome by me. With that in-mind, this vehicle is very sound and there isn't nor ever has been any serious damage that I have seen, and I've been over the entire vehicle. It's actually quite a peach for an old truck. Features include power steering, air conditioning, power brakes, tow package, Sony stereo and 6x9 speakers, bright LED headlights and running lights. Here is a detailed condition explanation and notes of critical items: Engine: Rebuilt 225ci Slant Six. Casting number is 2463430-14 (dates to 1960-1966), stamping # B2251007. Engine machine work by Don's Automotive Machine Shop in Moncks Corner SC and rebuilt/installed May 2023 (receipt for machine work included in photos). Engine is sleaved and bored .020 over. It has a Comp Cam model 64-241-4 tuned for improved power 1200-5000rpm. Engine is built for street use and reliability and runs on 87 octane. It tests an even 145psi compression across all cylinders. It runs consistently at 195-200 degrees and the oil pressure is 45 lbs at speed.Transmission: Rebuilt A904 TorqueFlite automatic and the numbers confirm it is original to truck. Transmission # PK4058383 8523 4718. Rebuilt March 2023 by Pruitt Transmission in Anderson SC (receipt included in photos).Body/Frame Corrosion: Absolutely none. There isn't a rusty panel or bolt to be found - see the pictures to confirm for yourself. Current engine break-in status: The refreshed engine was installed at odometer reading 97,492 and as of this writing it reads around 97,830 and that means the fresh engine and transmission have less than 350 miles on them. It's currently on it's second oil change of Summit Racing 10w40 ZDDP break-in oil. I'd recommend the buyer replace the oil at around 98,580 miles with their choice of 10w30 and begin normal oil changes from there since that will be about 1000 miles on the latest ZDDP break-in oil change.Current transmission break-in status: No transmission break-in procedure required. Begin normal fluid changes considering the above mileage indication.Exhaust: NewTires: Like new.Interior: The dash and seat were covered by the previous owner using nice quality covers and I haven't changed them. The dash cover is a padded fabric Carharrt piece and looks quite nice. The seat cover is a woven fabric, also quite durable and nice looking. The original Dodge pieces are the stock Mopar pieces from the era.Suspension: Shocks are new (see pictures). The front end is tight and well-aligned, tracking straight and true. All wheels are in-balance.Brakes: I haven't pulled the wheels to check, but that's because there's been no reason to. They work well and there's no indication that the brakes need service.Items the new owner might consider doing: I'm including a new connector for the transmission neutral safety switch. The three wires are currently hanging loose (see in the pictures) and attaching the new connector will help avoid accidental shifts and should also restore reverse lights functionality. The valves are obviously adjusted (or it wouldn't run!), however, the new owner may want to do a final tweak at the next oil change to quiet any unnecessary valve lash. Adjusting valves on this engine is a breeze - instructions are found on Youtube. Because of the very long side-draft intakes on these slant 6s, this one needs about 10-12 pumps before starting it up stone-cold. Not a big deal, but being the anal-retentive type that I am and if I were to keep it, I'd study up to see if there's a way to further tune this 2 barrel Carter carb for cold starts. That being said, once it starts it runs and idles well, even when cold since I've adjusted hot and cold idle. The only thing probably needing attention fairly soon is a leak at the power steering pump. The fluid is cheap and I've just been topping it off during my engine break-in period. I have the seal kit to resolve this leak and it's included with the sale of the truck and getting at the pump is very easy. COMMUNICATION, TERMS OF SALE: *** It is the sole responsibility of the potential purchaser to inspect the vehicle, or have a third-party inspection performed on the vehicle BEFORE bidding. The potential purchaser is relying solely on their own knowledge and judgement regarding vehicle condition. *** This vehicle is available to view by appointment only (at least one day notice required) - message me your name and phone number on eBay and I'll call you back to coordinate an inspection time. If you are unable to come view the vehicle for yourself, I highly recommend you send a third-party inspector on your behalf. The vehicle is located in Anderson, South Carolina near the regional airport. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. Since the vehicle is kept in a locked storage unit, I'll certainly make myself available for delivery day. I reserve the right to end the sale on eBay since I'm also selling locally. On Nov-05-24 at 18:42:58 PST, seller added the following information: Upon winning the auction, a non-refundable $500 deposit is immediately payable using eBay and the remaining funds will be payable within 7 days of auction close via CASH or WIRE TRANSFER only. Paper checks of any kind are NOT acceptable. The vehicle will not be released for delivery until all funds clear my bank - unfortunately, due to banking bureaucracy wire transfers these days often take as long as 24 hours so please plan accordingly.
