Replaces Honda 79670-SL0-A01 (OEM lamps have white plastic, but mine are gray). This is a kit of 3 lamps (light bulbs) to repair your Honda CR-V, Pilot, S2000, or (early) Odyssey climate control knob lights so you can see at night to select the fan speed, temperature, and heat or a/c mode. Note these bulbs do not fit the automatic temperature control units (found in some Pilots, etc.). You will receive 3 incandescent lamps in plastic bases that replace Honda part number 79670-SL0-A01.These lamps are an exact fit, but they have gray plastic, whereas the Honda parts have white plastic. These lamps are made by JKL Components, which I believe is the OEM for Honda. They are rated 14 volts, 100 mA, the same as the Honda lamps. The Honda lamps sell for about $9 each at the dealer. These bulbs are the larger ones that light up the top portion of the knobs (fan, temperature, mode). The smaller lamps that light the bottom portion (recirc, a/c, defrost) are not included, but they don't burn out so often. They're Honda 79672-S3N-N41, available from dealers; I don't have a source for them. These lamps fit:2002-2006 CR-V2004-2008 Pilot2000-2009 S2000 1995-1998 OdysseyIf your climate control looks like mine (pictured), these lamps should fit. Mine is a 2006 CR-V SE (hence the mirror symbol on the defrost button--your vehicle probably only has the window symbol). The replacement job is less than 30 minutes if you're halfway handy, no soldering or anything difficult. The youtube video "Honda CR-V Climate Control Bulb Replacement" by "All of it" is a nice video to watch to see how it's done. However, there's no reason to remove the radio frame--just start by removing the storage box above the climate control. How to install: You'll just need a couple of flat-blade screwdrivers and a #2 Phillips screwdriver.Use 2 flat-blade screwdrivers (one in each hand) to pry out the cover in the back of the storage bin.Set the emergency brake (so the handle is out of the way). Remove the Phillips screw, then pull the bin straight out, just until it's loose.Unplug the emergency flasher switch, gray connector--the connector latch (by my thumb in the photo) is on the side toward the bin--small hands or long fingers! You must squeeze the connector to unlatch it, then it comes right out; don't pull hard. Remove the two Phillips screws now exposed just above the climate control unit.Pull the climate control unit straight out, just until it's loose. There are tabs that hold it in on either side--if it's never been out, you may have to pull fairly hard.Unplug the green connector--it has a latch, similar to the gray one--then remove the climate control unit from the car.On a padded table, remove the 7 screws holding the back on the climate control unit, then gently remove (fold open) the back. The white wires will keep the two pieces together. Remove the 3 lamps by turning them counterclockwise 1/8 turn with a flat-blade screwdriver and pulling them out.Install the new lamps by inserting them and turning clockwise 1/8 turn--they'll turn kind of hard--the screwdriver slot will be vertical when they're correctly installed. The 3 lamps are labeled LMP1, LMP3, & LMP5; your old lamps will likely have white bases.Reverse the above steps to reassemble.Be gentle and work slowly. If you're a "bigger hammer" kind of guy, get someone else to do this job. The hardest part is probably step 1, getting the cover out of the back of the bin.
